The works in this concert highlight deep emotional expression, guiding the listener toward light and liberation. Pēteris Vasks’s meditative music from 2011, rooted in nature and spirituality, is paired with a song that Schubert composed in Vienna in 1828, the year of his death, in which changing feelings of longing, joy, and wistfulness are reflected in nature through different shades of emotion.
The intensely charged glow of Franck’s quintet, composed in Paris between 1880 and 1882, waits for its release into light in the work’s finale.
Tickets 30 €, pensioners 25 €, students and children (7–17 yo) 15 € + fee 1,5 €
