Masterclasses 2024

The Lauttasaari Music Festival organizes chamber music masterclasses from June 10th to June 16th, 2024. The course director is Professor Seppo Kimanen. Other teachers include Professor Marko Ylönen from the Sibelius Academy, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra’s concertmaster Petri Aarnio, and the Czech Wihan String Quartet’s violinist Leoš Čepický.

Classes will take place in Lauttasaari, Helsinki, and the events are open to the public. The course fee will be kept as low as possible, maximum 75 euros per participant (the exact amount will be confirmed once grants are secured). The course fee contains entry to all concerts of the festival. Ensembles ranging from duos to quintets are welcome to apply.

There is limited space available for the masterclass, so sign up early, but no later than April 30th, 2024.
