All of the composers of the evening were inspired by Hungarian folk music. The finale of Johannes Brahms’s piano quartet, Rondo alla Zingarese, combines classical form with the energy of folk music — an energy Béla Bartók later carried in a modernist direction. The concert begins with a celebration of György Kurtág, who will turn 100 in 2026 and who has continued Bartók’s musical legacy.
Tickets 30 €, pensioners 25 €, students and children (7–17yo) 15 € + fee 1,5 €
