CORA-kvartetti

CORA Quartet

Rebecca Roozeman – violin
Otto Antikainen – violin
Charlotta Westerback – viola
Artturi Aalto – cello

The CORA Quartet was formed in 2025 by four leading young Finnish musicians – Rebecca Roozeman, Otto Antikainen, Charlotta Westerback and Artturi Aalto. The musicians first met at the Sibelius Academy’s Youth Education Programme, where they studied together from 2015 to 2020, and have since worked closely together in various chamber music ensembles.

All four members of the quartet are prizewinners of national and international competitions and regularly perform as soloists with Finland’s leading orchestras alongside their chamber music work. They have also appeared at major Finnish and international chamber music festivals and have performed with, among others, Julia Fischer, Ilya Gringolts, Renaud Capuçon, Tabea Zimmermann and Ana Chumachenco.

Following their studies at the Sibelius Academy, the members have continued their education at some of Europe’s most prestigious music academies, including the Norwegian Academy of Music and the universities of music in Munich and Berlin.

The CORA Quartet’s playing combines years of shared musical experience, strong mutual interaction and a broad artistic vision. Their work is characterised by intense musical dialogue, stylistic versatility, and an energetic yet refined approach to the string quartet repertoire. Already in its founding year, the quartet was invited to perform at several major Finnish festivals.
